Aaron Ramsey's recovery is going according to plan

The 19-year-old Arsenal midfielder, suffered a horrific leg injury at
Stoke. Though the perpetrator of the incident Ryan Shawcross, has
accepted his mistake and begged for pardon. You might agree that his
apology won't revoke the damage done - but in the spirit of
sportmanship we have to let go and forge ahead. So far, that we have
been able to do.

Ramsey's injury came as a crude shock to all and sundry. He was
beginning to hit his stride and untimately the lad would have won
himself a permanent place in the team and automatically gaining the
much touted exposure and experience needed for his development. But that's wishful thinking at least for now.

The good news is our boy can now work without external assistance. And
our manager Arsene Wenger couldn't hide his joy at such a prospect:
"He has been encouraged to work without crutches and he is doing
that,"Wenger enthused.

The gaffer revealed further that so far, no complications have been
noticed and that all is working as planned: "The recovery is going as
well as you could hope for at this stage of the injury. He is, of
course, impatient as anybody would be in his position.

"But we have had no bad surprises. Until now, everything has been
going to plan," he concluded.

Nasri - we won't give up on Ramsey

Contender for goal of the season scorer Samir Nasri, is confident the
Gunners are capable of running the Epl and Ucl show for Rambo.

The young midfielder who will miss the remainder of the season due to
a horrific injury inflicted by Stoke's Ryan Shawcross during Arsenal's
match against the Potters at the Britannia is feeling better as claimed by the Frenchman.

Nasri who has been showing glimpses of what we are to expect from him,
made up for his lackadaisical attitude in front of goal by dribbling a
handful of Porto defenders before rifling his shot past the
bewildered Helton.

The 22-year-old midfielder has expressed his dissatisfaction of his
team mate's injury, but he's optimistic the teenager's plight will
influence the Gunners title chances positively.

"At the start of the season I broke my leg too, but it was not like
Aaron's injury. We could tell on the pitch that it was something very
serious.

"I was talking to Djibril Cisse, my former team mate at Marseille,
last week because he had the same injury, and he's optimistic about
the future for Aaron.

"As for Aaron himself, he is doing well, his morale is good - he has
all the support from the fans and when you have an injury like this
that is really important.

"We had good news about his surgery this week so we are glad about
that and hope he gets well soon."

Dudu's surgeon predicts quick recovery for Rambo

Khalid Baloch, the surgeon who salvaged Eduardo's career has predicted
that Arsenal's youngster Aaron Ramsey will make a good and full
recovery.
Eduardo's horror tackle two years ago activated whispers from almost
every corner of the football World, suggesting his brilliant career
was over. Thanks to the 46-year-old specialist who was entrusted with
Eduardo's case - the striker's career has since been resurrected.

Khalid maintains there are a lot of similarities between Dudu's injury
and that sustained by Rambo, three days ago at Stoke.

Ramsey underwent successful surgery on Saturday to fix fractures to
his tibia and fibula in his right leg following Ryan Shawcross's
challenge.

According to the Daily Mirror Baloch admitted: "I expect it is Deja Vu
for Arsenal's staff and will bring back memories for them.
"If you look at the pictures it's similar to where Eduardo was holding his leg.
"The Arsenal physios and doctors have seen this before though and it
will be fresh in their minds.

"I expect eventually Ramsey will have the same type of intensive rehab
and play again.
"Arsenal's physios did a great job with Eduardo."

Baloch reduced and fixed the fractures to Eduardo's left leg in a
four-hour operation, after he was injured away at Birmingham.
He added: "Ramsey's injury also looked serious from the limited views
I have had on Tv and in pictures.
"There were some similiarites with Eduardo and a leg break is usually
six to nine months out.
The mechanism of the injury is obviously similar with two players
getting involved in a tackle and one player's foot hits the other's
leg.
Whenever any break has a significant bend in it, as his did, there is
a possibility for a compound fracture but it's hard to tell if that
happened to Ramsey as well."

Baloch is sure the 19-year-old will benefit immensely from advice and
encouragement from Arsenal teammate and injury survivor Eduardo da
Silva.

Baloch said: "He is a young lad but I expect he will be well supported
by his colleagues.
"What he has going for him is he has Eduardo there.
"When he looks at Eduardo he will think he can do it."

Visit the official website (Arsenal.com) and endeavour to send Rambo
your goodwill messages.
Let's go. Together we can win the title for Ramsey.

Poor Ramsey undergoes surgery

The vibrant youngster's evening was ended abruptly via an
unintentional tackle from Stoke's Ryan Shawcross.

He joins our extensive list of long term absentees and we pray and
hope he recovers without complications.

"During yesterday's match against Stoke City, Aaron Ramsey sustained
fractures to the tibia and fibula in his right leg. Yesterday he
underwent surgery.
"The operation successfully reduced the fractures and whilst it is too
soon to state an exact timescale for recovery, Aaron will certainly
miss the remainder of this season.
Our thoughts are with Aaron at this time and everyone at the club
wishes him all the best in making as speedy a return to action as
possible."
