Arsenal plan Turan snatch

If reports coming from the Turkish Press and the midfielder's agent have an iota of truth in them, then it won't hurt to know that Arsenal are set to swoop on Liverpool's target Arda Turan.

The Turkish Press termed the player as a "versatile (capable of playing in either flank or on a central role) and an impressive "dribbler" with great vision.

Yesterday, our chequered campaign came to an end on a bright note. And Arsene Wenger has said it severally in the past that he understands our desire to have a team strong enough to compete for honours, and he's promised to do something transfer-wise about it.

The Turkish international is currently the captain of Galatasaray, but he's being linked with a move away from the Istanbul club when the window reopens, possibly to England.
The 23-year-old spoke of his desire to join Liverpool earlier this season, but their inability to play in the Champions League could prove to be the decisive factor.

His agent Ahmed Bulut told Sport.co.uk, that Arsene Wenger has indicated interest in the services rendered by his client:"There are a few clubs interested," he maintained.

"Liverpool are one, and Arsenal. There are no official or concrete offers at the moment but two clubs have spoken about wages.

"However, in football you never know. The season finishes soon in Turkey, and then Arda will go to the USA with the national team and we will see after that."
