Roma slap €50m on De Rossi, Bartley wants to stay at Sheffield Utd and Wolves vow to keep Doyle

AS Roma in a bid to hold on to their influential playmaker Danielle De Rossi, have slapped a €50m transfer fee on the versatile player to scare off Arsenal, Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Arsene Wenger was considered a favourite by many to snap the 27-year-old Roma star last summer, but at €50m it's crystal clear he will be staying at Italy.
Luckily for Arsene Wenger, his net transfer surplus matches that number, and maybe he can wait until june 30, 2012 to land the home grown talent on a free transfer (the player should be 29-years-old by then).

Yesterday, Kevin Doyle was added by the papers to Arsene Wenger's extensive virtual wishlist, this is what Wolves' chief executive Jez Moxey had to say concerning the rumour: "What we want to do is to continue to improve the squad and to improve the team.

"That will take a lot of time and will call for continuing investment in the club.
"It will also mean that we will try to keep our very best players, not sell them," Moxey asserted.

finally, Arsenal's youngster Kyle Bartley hopes for Blades return, the 18-year-old is due to leave Sheffield United following Sunday's last match of the season at Ipswich.

The kid told Star: "I am going back to Arsenal next week to carry on with my training. I will then sit down with the gaffer (Arsene Wenger) and see what he has to say and what his plans are for next year.

I definitely think there is a possibility of me coming back (to United) next year; I would be more than happy to do that. If it was a season-long loan, I think it will be good for my development," he enthused.
