Fabregas came, saw, equalled Pires' record and left injured

Ever since the Gunners decided to chart their own course, after
suffering back to back defeats to Chelsea and Manchester United. The
League has and is still experiencing what can be likened to an
uprising.

And I'm glad we're doing it the hard way and fortunately for us also,
we are gradually restoring parity.
We've been clamouring for a team that isn't scared of conceding for
the mere sake of their inability to strike back.
The unresolving character the lads are displaying is the catalyst
that has energised and increased their ability to hit back (playing
beautifully) when bullied.
Last week is a fresh example and the same attitude was evident at the
Emirates today.

Arsenal decreased Burnley's survival options as they survived a
second-half scare to confine Burnley to the Epl relegation zone.

Captain fantastic had a great game as usual, kick-started the
proceedings via a sublime finish and left the pitch with a smile of
fulfillment.
The Club has since issued an official statement on the midfielder's injury.
"He has a hamstring problem and we don't know how big the damage is
yet because it is too early. We'll see tomorrow or monday.
We have to make a late decision over whether he plays on Tuesday,
certainly. It is the same hamstring (he hurt against Aston Villa
earlier in the season)."

The Gunners displayed maturity and courage when it mattered and showed
no trace of the "Eduardo situation".
However, they made a few mistakes. Emmanuel Eboue was the unlucky
culprit as his clearance was headed back by Leon Cort enabling Nugent
to embarass both the defence and the goalkeeper. To hand Burnley a
temporary lifeline.

Walcott is steadily finding his rhythm and when he does, like he did
today you can definately expect nothing less than a World class finish
that can only be matched by Andrey Arshavin's last gasp strike.
The youngster has been the subject of hasty criticism following his
below par performance during England's international friendly against
Egypt which they eventually won.

At least he has created some space for himself with his performance today.

Tonight's worst performer is none other than Nicklas Bendtner - he's
capable of doing wonders when he's in the mood, especially with his
head but I don't think the same can be said of his legs.
His awful finishing quickly reminds me of Thierry Henry, if not Van
Persie trademark finishes.
The youngster's finishing is unacceptable, he lacks the ability to
deliver the killer punch. Worst of all his speed is nothing to write
home about as well as his recovery rate. Wenger has to inject a bit of that magic (I don't care how he does it) but it's pertinent Bendtner improves, our title hopes might rest on the youngster's inexperienced shoulders.

Even though, victory was ours for the taking credit has to be given to
Burnley, they've shown they can contain the Big Boys. But I'm afraid
they've to do better than that if they don't want to be switching
places with a more adventourous Championship side come May.

Cort Insists Arsenal' kids will be safe today

Arsene Wenger refused to be consoled after losing Ramsey who
coincidentally is the third Arsenal player to suffer an horrific
injury in five years.

Our General went as far as accusing his rivals of targeting his
players because they think we are feeble, even though he admits he
went hard on Ryan he has refused to retract the critical nature of his
comments directed at the perpetrator who ended Ramsey's season
abruptly.

Wenger can at least put his guard down as his side play against a
defender in the person of Leon Cort who incidentally was signed from
hard-playing Stoke, but he hasn't been booked in 188 league games.
He was last booked in the league during his time at Southend, and it
was in a match against Northampton back in April 2004.
Albeit, Leon Cort rejected claims he's soft but he maintained he won't
break the rules to send home his message.

Cort said: "I do try and go for the ball and if it is a fifty-fifty I
will try and go through the ball.
"Nobody has ever moaned about me pulling out of a tackle but it's true
I don't get booked often."

Cort is of the opinion that Wenger's troops are too lenient, too
feeble and the way they play is why they fall prey to tackles.
"It's something that needs to be accepted.
They are small and nippy players and they are quick.
"Against teams like that big defender will mistime tackles occasionally.

The 30-year-old came swiftly to former teammate Ryan Shawcross'
defence stating that it wasn't a purposeful act rather a mistimed and
unfortunate tackle.
"If you look at Ryan Shawcross' tackle when you slow it down you can
see he didn't mean to take Ramsey's leg. It was just the timing was
off.
"But you can't let the fear of mistiming a tackle put you off. You've
to try and get tight to the Arsenal players because if you let them
play, they punish you.
"A lot teams try and get as tight as they can. Mistimed tackles happen
in those situations. We have to work on making sure we don't give them
time on the ball."

Arsenal v Burnley [Match Preview]

The Gunners who are yet to score in the opening 15 minutes of a home
match this present campaign, will be desperate to end this infamous record against Burnley
tomorrow.

Arsenal will be without Alex Song who's currently serving a suspension and Aaron
Ramsey who unfortunately paid the price for our victory at the
Britannia almost a week ago.

The Emirates in my opinion isn't a venue Burnley would've wished for
at a time every point is essential for the sustainability of Arsenal's
title pursuit.

The last time Burnley beat Arsenal at home was nearly four decades ago -
Arsene Wenger's team will love to keep it so.
Meanwhile, Saturday's fixture against Burnley couldn't have come at
a more appropriate time with reference to our current injury crisis.
The potential relegation candidate (Burnley) has the worst away
record in the Epl's history, picking just one point on their numerous
trips from a possible 42, and conceding more away goals than any
other team in the Premier League.

The genuinity of our title pursuit depends on our ability to withstand
whatever peeble or rock (as the case might be) is thrown at us. We've
been empathizing with Ramsey, now is the time for his team mates to
show the kid, what they've learnt from Eduardo's experience.
We've been though a lot this season (injuries). I'm glad we recovered in time to show uncommon strength
and maturity at Stoke last weekend, but we are gonna need more firepower if we are to keep our title flame burning,
hopefully Arshavin and Diaby will prove their relevance to the squad
on Saturday.
A four goal win for the Gunners will definately catapult them to the
summit of the Epl log, albeit briefly pending our rivals results.
