Sagna: 'Carl Will Be The Best Defender Soon'

Arsenal and France international defender Bacary Sagna says he believes in the judgment of Arsene Wenger in respect to the possibility of starting youngster Carl Jenkinson in the coming games.

The right back is undoubtedly one of the best defenders the Premier League has played host to in recent years, but it is left to be seen if his prediction in support of our 19-year-old will come to fruition in the near future.

A statement on the official website announced his injury in unequivocal terms - stating what the medical team has done already and the time frame for his recovery: "(Sagna has) undergone further assessment and investigations on his fractured right fibula with the Club's medical team and specialists. As a result of these tests, Bacary has had surgery to stabilise the injury.

"The surgery went according to plan and there has been no significant alteration to the initial prognosis that Bacary will be out of action for a minimum of three months."

Some supporters have questioned the ability of Carl to step up his game with regards to Sagna's impressive performances. @ahmed_almandil demonstrated this situation when he asked @Sagnaofficial: "do u(you) think that karl(Carl) can fell(fill) the gap u(you) left for the next 3 months ???!!!." You can almost deduce Sagna's response to the question: "@ahmed_almandil listen,Carl is very talentuous and will do the job properly.. he's 19..learn quickly and will be one of best defender soon," he enthused.
