Arsenal told to cough out €15m for Blaise Matuidi

Arsenal are expected to increase their valuation of St. Etienne's 24-year-old defender Blaise Matuidi, to tempt the Ligue1 side into parting with their defensive enforcer.

Matuidi has being linked continually with a move away from France to the Premiership for a long time now, and it is common knowledge that the possibility of him tasting Champions League football at North London will be a temptation that will be too hard for him to resist, especially at this stage of his career.

According to the Daily Mail -Roland Romeyer Vice president of St. Etienne said:

"when he extended (his contract) with a big pay rise... We all signed an agreement with his agent for €13m plus €2m bonus clauses. "Below this rate, he is not allowed to leave. This is because he is not for sale. But it is obvious that if someone offers that amount, we will meet our commitments, and he will leave."
