Wenger is positive over Bendtner's fitness

Arsenal's manager Arsene Wenger, believes a replacement for Nicklas Bendtner isn't needed.

The manager whose job as a commentator for French Tv in South Africa is nearing completion, has being calling the shots from his World Cup base, and is preparing in earnest to meet up with the essential requirements necessary for a genuine title assault as the 2010/11 season approaches.

Due to a nagging groin problem, the enterprising young Dane failed to achieve his somewhat lofty dream of leaving South Africa, with the golden boots in his kitty. However, the manager is still adamant our medical team can patch the lanky striker up in time for the forthcoming season.

"We have an assessment with him on Thursday," Wenger told Arse.com "It is a groin problem and we see where we go from there.

"We need to check to see if we have to do something. But no, it is not a big problem."
