Bacary Sagna has joined fellow Frenchman Samir Nasri in welcoming Arsene Wenger's latest asset Marouane Chamakh to the club.
The Gunners full back is adamant the Morrocan will prove his mettle at the club when he arrives: "I know him. I played against him. He is top class," he enthused.
Sagna believes Chamakh's aerial prowess will be an added advantage for the Gunners as they look to end their trophy drought next season:
"He is very good in the air he scores a lot of goals from crosses. He keeps the ball very well and it will only benefit us to have a player like him in the team."
Sagna, who according to reports in Italy is being monitored by Juventus wants fellow teammate Sol Campbell to be put into Fabio Capello's World Cup consideration: "Sol has being brilliant this season. I'm surprised because he nearly stopped football and he didn't play for six months," the 27-year-old said.
"It's always very difficult to come back. But in many games he did very well even though he is 35-years-old and I wouldn't be surprised to see him involved with the national team at the World Cup.
"He can play for England. I am sure he can. Pace is not everything. He did very well when we played against Tottenham and it was not an easy game."

You don't want him breathing down the neck of Almunia or Fabianski.
