Felipo Melo In Talks With European Club - Rejects Move To Brazil

Brazil and Juventus midfielder Felipo Melo, has rejected offers from his native country citing monetary issues as the basis for his decision to remain in Europe.

The 28-year-old's relevance to the Italian club has been on the wane for some time now, and given the undeniable fact that the troublesome player in question is a man after Arsene's heart - it would not be suprising to find out that Arsenal, are the club willing to afford the unwanted midfielder the luxurious opportunity of first team action. Even if it is for a fraction of his original value.

Here him out: "I know a lot of people who have talked about my supposed move to Palmeiras. Or is it Flamengo, but no one is talking about the fact that these clubs never showed interest in me. Although, the likes of Santos and Gremio have made formal enquiries. Negotiations with Sao Paulo were in an advanced stage, but then came a proposal from a club in Europe that will increase my wages greatly. We are now tying up the loose ends, and in the coming days the deal could be concluded."

Melo, then told the reporters why he has to leave Juventus this summer:

"I Know I am contracted to this club until 2014, I feel sad that I will leave. The club and I have reached an agreement, and we have decided that since they can not match my wage increase request, it will not be convenient for me or for the club to stay that is why I have to leave."
