Sagna wants Pape Diakhate at Arsenal

Arsenal's French import Bacary Sagna has put in a good word for Pape Diakhate, who has being heavily linked with a move to North London in the past seasons.

The Mail believes Arsenal, Tottenham and Sunderland are hot on the trail of Diakhate, who has returned to his parent club (Dynamo Kiev) after spending the last six months on loan at French club St. Etienne.

Five days before the real poaching begins - and we have an amazing array of defensive options to choose from. Okay, Lets be objective, who amongst this list is a genuine Arsenal transfer target? Per Mertesacker, Neven Subotic, Gary Cahill and Laurent Koscielny - Although I can't fathom the idea of been linked with a host of centre-backs, whose arrival cannot be ascertained.
Anyway, for the fun sake of it, lets add Sagna's homeboy to the equation, Perhaps he just might be the missing fraction of our transfer puzzle.

The Arsenal full-back, who was far from convincing last season wants Arsene to take advantage of the 25-year-old stopper's availability and lure him to the Emirates.

"I don't know what the plan is for next year. We are all waiting to see what the manager does but Malickou he would be very welcome in our team," Sagna enthused.

"He is Senegalese like me and plays for the national team. He played for Nancy in France so I played against him a few times and he is very dangerous at set-pieces.

"I have met him a few times and he is a very good guy and a very good player."
