Pires warns Barca: "Arsenal will not let go of Cesc"

Erstwhile Arsenal playmaker Robert Pires has lent former team-mate Cesc Fabregas a piece of his mind.

Pires, who left Arsenal four years ago after winning two League titles in his six-year spell with the club enjoined the 23-year-old, whose father is crying wolf to forget about his much touted switch to Spain and instead stay with the club that shot him to limelight.

The ex Gunner, who helped former club Villareal achieve their highest ever League finish in 2008 when they pipped Barcelona to second place to end the season behind eventual winners Real Madrid believes Arsenal will not sell Cesc to Barca:
"I believe that Arsenal will not let go of Cesc," Pires told Spanish radio station Ona Fm.

"Cesc is the image of Arsenal. I'll bet that we once again see Cesc in an Arsenal shirt.

"If today we see a great Cesc, it is because Arsene Wenger has great confidence in him, so I do not see Cesc leaving Arsenal."
