Wenger drops Almunia bombshell

Le Prof. might have finally awoken from his short-sightedness induced slumber.

The gaffer expressed dissatisfaction with Almunia's form, and admitted
he might have to do something urgently to rectify the ugly situation.
Wenger previously had a penchant for supporting the Spaniard doggedly
and even went as far as, claiming he was the best in the Premier
League some months ago: "In my own opinion, Manuel is the best keeper
in the Premier League," Arsene said last year.

But the seasoned tactician is now singing a new tune: "I never said
that he will be my long-term No1," Wenger explained.
"He's a great goal keeper and he is in competition with Lucasz Fabianski.
So I want to see how we finish now so I do not think it is the best
period to talk about individual players," Wenger concluded.

Arsenal has being linked with a couple of high-profile goalies and
from what Wenger had said, it can be deduced that the 32-year-old's
time at the North London outfit might really be up.

Yeah, you've got a point there chief but as long as Almunia
*****ndeers the post we are sure to remain trophyless.
Almunia is Arsene and Arsenal's biggest detractor and we need a new and quality goalie if we want to compete with the likes of Chelsea for the Premiership title.
I totally agree with you . . . We need a new keeper I am tired of Almunia's trial and error performance. What is the problem? For God's sake we have the cash and pedigree to persuade any player for that matter.
