Agent: "Thiago Motta Didn't Snub Arsenal"

Arsenal target Thiago Motta didn't reject an offer to join Arsenal, he only considered the viable option of staying put at Inter Milan says his adviser and agent Simone Canovi.

In an interview with Sportitalia, the Fifa accreditated agent was asked about his client's future regarding his highly anticipated move to the Emirates this season and he replied:

"The rumours having Thiago snub an offer coming from Arsenal are not true. He's just willing to keep playing for Inter, it's his first choice, and if his new trainer Gian Piero Gasperini wants the same Thiago won't move".

The 28-year-old Italian-Brazilian midfielder has recently been approached by Zenit St. Petersburg, who are well aware of the player's desire to play in the Premiership. However, Arsenal will have to table at least €14m to trigger a clause in his contract that will allow him join the Gunners.
