Sk Sturm Graz lie in wait for the Arsenal

Arsenal are set to face Austrian club Sk Sturm Graz today at the UPC Arena in what seems to be the real litmus test of their Pre- season tour. Some days ago, the Gunners successfully stole the show at Barnet. They beat their London neighbour by an impressive scoreline to continue their winning streak in respect to their annual friendlies.

The team kickstarted the 2010/11 season last week at Underhill, but Austria is the team's next junction. Arsene Wenger aims to test his lads might against a team renowned for their successful combination of physicality and Arsenal-like style of play.

Franco Foda's men are gearing for action, and the tactician believes the friendly has what it takes to surpass the 1970/71 Inter Cities Fair Cup meeting between both sides - Arsenal lost the 1st leg by a lone goal, but recovered in the nick of time to upturn the deficit during the 2nd leg; The final score on that night Sk Sturm Graz 1-2 Arsenal Fc.

Well, Wenger's 27-man squad are already chilling in Austria. Sturm Graz, like the caption says are prepared to win this match in honour of those stars that attempted to sneak past the Gunners' formidable team 4-decades ago, they still revere the encounter in Graz.

Finally, some members of the team that represented it at the just concluded Fifa 2010 World Cup held in South Africa are back in training ahead of the forthcoming season. The list comprises of; Alex Song, Bacary Sagna, Carlos Vela, Abou Diaby, Emmanuel Eboue and Gael Clichy. Nicklas Bendtner isn't fit to resume training yet, so his exclusion is justified. As for Cesc and RVP,
Arse.com said "Cesc Fabregas and Robin Van Persie are still on holiday while some players are absent due to injury."
