According to this morning's edition of the Daily Star the Arsenal manager who might not be aware of this latest speculation has indicated willingness to snap the midfielder who is entering the final 12 months of his contract at the Merseyside club and has so far failed to accept terms of a new deal.
Wenger was quoted by the report as saying: "He (Pienaar) has grown this year. "He would get into the Arsenal team, yes."
Yes! the Everton midfielder produced some quite scintillating displays last season, in some occasions he single-handedly spurred them to victory, I'm not doubting his capability but this is one heck of a rumour I won't pay heed to at least for now.
After all the manager only showered encomiums on the impressive star, the rest could well be probable and Wenger himself has admitted he might spend only on defenders this season.
Anyway, Wenger and Pienaar are currently in South Africa both have different roles to play during the tournament, who knows they might even be discussing the possibility of such a move or maybe not.
