Vermaelen - bring on the big boys

Arsenal's Belgian import Thomas Vermaelen is unfazed by the
possibility of Arsenal been paired with the movers and shakers of
Europe.

Speaking after the Gunners whitewashing of Porto at the Emirates, the
untiring defender maintained that he's not losing sleep pertaining the
outcome of next week's quarter-final draw and he's convinced the
Gunners have the potential and experience to vie for the Premiership and the UEFA Champions League.

The Verminator insisted that Arsenal are in the UEFA Champions League to win it, and their presence in the Premiership shouldn't be overlooked.

"As a footballer player you can never be afraid of anyone.

"We're still in the race for both things, for the League and the
Champions League, but you have to stay focused on every game.

"Every game is difficult and you cannot look further than one game.
You have to focus on the next game and that is Hull on Saturday. You
have to win every game.

"But I'm convinced we can win the Champions League.
Otherwise I wouldn't be stood here. You have to stay focused in every
game and be confident in every game."
