Arsenal join race for £11m centre-back

Will I be talking too much if I say we need reinforcements next season?

Well, the papers are at it again! This time the kid is Hamburger SV's
tough as nail defender Jerome Boateng.
The 21-year-old earned his place in Bruno Labbadia's experienced
squad through hardwork, and his consistency has been key to the club's European
ambition, as well as, their domestic top flight pursuit.

Manchester City have made known their intentions and are closely
marking the youngster. Roberto Mancini has admitted that he will be
digging deep into the club's purse to strengthen his squad and he sees
in Jerome a perfect transfer prospect.

The Gunners are not left out - our impressive scouting network has
proved that they are alive to their duties. They have brought to the
notice of Arsene and the club that the youngster could be training at
the Emirates next season if only Wenger is willing to act now.

The youngster in question could be fetched for £11m and at 6ft3in,
Personally it won't hurt our lean purse.
For f*¤*s sake (pardon my language) our
General's financial muscle is estimated at £30m, and if we don't want
to rely on charity next season, we have to do away with the
underperformers (Al and co.) and bring in the experience necessary for
a genuine title charge.
