Blackburn Want Arsenal To Pay €17m For Christopher Samba

Reports currently doing the rounds online suggest that Arsenal's manager Arsene Wenger, has decided to fast-track the arrival of Christopher Samba from Blackburn. Of course, the supposedly latest turn in transfer events involving both top flight teams is contrary to Steve Kean's (Blackburn's coach), earlier comments that none of the current suitors have met the club's asking price for the 27-year-old center-back.

According to the Daily Star, Arsenal and Tottenham will have to part with nothing less than €17m, if they really want the Congo international to relocate to London before the expiration of summer activities this season.

Arsenal's North London rivals Tottenham, will be more than happy to scupper the highly anticipated move given their inability to sign their earlier target Gervinho. Speaking of the botched move, the Ivorian attacker has announced his intentions to win already with a well taken brace against Fc Cologne in yesterday's friendly.
