Who's invincible now - Arsenal or Manchester United?

To be afraid is part of the human condition. It is something we share with all other teams. Of course we are not afraid for every minute of the game, either because we perceive nothing to be afraid of or because as genuine title contenders we've sometimes managed to suppress those fears especially in the dying moments of our conquests.

Allardyce: 'Man U's 2nd leading goalscorer is OG'

Blackburn Rovers manager Sam Allardyce isn't new to controversy but at
least this time I think he's got it right, and who knows he might
succeed in halting Manchester United's trophy ambitions tomorrow at
Ewood Park.

The gaffer is adamant his boys can take advantage of United's midweek
flop in the Champions League against Bayern Munich. Allardyce told
Rovers official website: "We hope there is perhaps some fatigue left
in their team. We don't know what sort of team Sir Alex will put out.
He has some choices and changes he could make if necessary, so we
can't quite second guess the side.

"Some players who played on Wednesday night I'm sure will be playing
on Sunday. So there will be some fatigue both physically and mentally
in those players compared to ours. We've done nothing this week except
to prepare for this game. That gives us, I hope an advantage in that
area that we can try and take advantage of as the game progresses."

The red devils will be travelling to Ewood Park without their
influential hit-man [Wayne Rooney], the striker aggravated an injury
he suffered on his ankle during their Champions League match with
their German counterparts [Bayern Munich] and Allardyce is certain
they can take advantage of the £70m rated star's absence: "It does
help, because when you look at Manchester United's stats this season,
Wayne has scored the vast majority of goals," He added.

To further buttress his point Big Sam concluded by saying: "Their
second leading goalscorer is called OG! They've had 11 own goals this
season.
So there's a big gap lost by Wayne not playing and hopefully that can
be a help for us to try and get a result."

Ferguson defends Premier League teams

Manchester United's manager Alex Ferguson who gambled on the fitness
of Wayne Rooney yesterday against Bayern Munich, despite the striker
being ruled out of action for a minimum of three weeks came to the
rescue of English teams after a barrage of discontentment from the
Media.

The seasoned tactician stated in unequivocal terms that the Premier
League is still the best and most attractive League in the world, even
though its representatives were dumped out earlier than expected.
English teams have dominated Europe for the last seven years, sending
at least one representative to the final since 2005. But how quickly
things change with Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal already out, United
had the semi finals in their sight until Arjen Robben crashed their
party via a sublime finish.

Fergie said: "I am sure you will read something into that. All the
English teams were expected to get to the semi finals, as they have
been doing over the last seven years. But I don't think that casts a
shadow over the English League, it is still the best League in Europe
and a very competitive League.

"You don't always get what you want in life and we are all suffering
from the same thing now," Ferguson said.

Can Liverpool restore parity between Arsenal and United?

Good morning mates, yesterday we did, what we had to do. Infact,
that's all we've been doing ever since Manchester United and Chelsea
literally tore us apart.

From a gooner's perspective, we've been consistently inconsistent and
that can be attributed to many circumstances beyond our control.
Talking of consistency, we've made significant progress in our bid to
keep our act together and that has culminated in the positive results
we now enjoy.
Unlike, Liverpool whose entire campaign has been mired in controversy
- we are currently cooling our heels at the summit of the Barclays
Premier League table. All thanks to the team as a whole, for their
success in solving our visitors equation correctly.

I know I'm deliberately excluding Chelsea. That's because they'll have
to go through hell if they must end their Premier League barren run.
On the other hand, Liverpool and Manchester United, share an uncanny
knack of manufacturing mouth-watering results when they play each
other.
Last season, Liverpool did the unthinkable, they humbled United 4-1 at
Old Trafford, albeit the eventual Champions recovered in time to equal
the reds record total of 18 League titles.

It's gonna be all about Fernando Torres and Wayne Rooney who have
both proved their worth for their respective clubs and at international level.
Torres will be spear-heading Liverpool's attack today. We all know how
efficient and deadly he can be, that is if he wants to be. As for the
latter, I wish him a very quite and uneventful afternoon, devoid of
any goal scoring opportunity.
Honestly, if there is any team still left (excluding Chelsea) capable
of halting Manchester United's progress, it's definately Liverpool and
Rafa Benitez, wasn't kidding himself when he said: "For all our fans
it would be really good to stop United."

Rafa Benitez understands the importance of today's game and the
precarious situation they will find themselves in if they fail to
frustrate United's march to a record 19th League title: "But we need
to win because we want to be in the top four."

If Liverpool still cherish been tagged as one of the "top four" then
they better not mess this up by ensuring that they reproduce a replica of the same magic that
saw them thrash United at Old Trafford last year and this season at
Anfield respectively. or else, the likes of Manchester City and Tottenham, might effectively relegate them to the
background once and for all.

Most wanted - Dzeko to cost Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd, Ac Milan €40m

The big man who has an array of suitors to choose from, might well be
shoo-ing them away. Courtesy his massive price tag.

Wolfsburg are desperate to hang on to their playmaker as clearly shown
in their decision to increase the star's value. Which means any
further negotiation for the Bosnian forward can be facilitated only if
the afore-mentioned teams are willing to cough out of their coffers a
whooping sum of €40m.

The 23-year-old has managed 14 goals in 30 appearances so far this season,
his goal scoring form last season was the catalyst that catapulted
Wolfsburg, to the summit of the Bundesliga, and ensured they ran out
eventual champions.

With Arsenal, Manchester United, Ac Milan and Chelsea tracking the
bosnian striker - they all might be tempted to look elsewhere for
other available options if they are unable to oblige Wolfsburg's huge demand.

Dzeko is a good and fantastic player, but speaking from a Gooner's
perspective we are undoubtedly out of the race for his signature.
We are not known to spend stupendous amounts on over-rated players and
I don't see why we would start now.

Speaking to Tutto Mercato web, an agent who claims to represent Dzeko said:
"Every day you read about "bombshells" on the market, but for now it
has stopped, also because the clubs have to see what they'll do next
year.
"They cannot plan their futures in February. They plan a little later.
One thing has been noted, though Milan like Dzeko as do many other
teams, but the player's value has increased.
"Edin is now worth €40m."
