Arsenal Target Solomon Rondon and Juan Manuel Vargas

According to some unsubstantiated reports Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is preparing a double swoop for Malaga's striker Solomon Rondon and Fiorentina's winger Juan Manuel Vargas, as soon as the transfer hostilities resume in January next year.

The Arsenal boss is believed to be keen on Venezuelan international Rondon (22), whose current deal with Malaga expires in June 2014. The youngster's performances have not gone unnoticed. So it is only logical that the north london outfit must entertain competition from Genoa and CSKA Moscow to win Rondon's exclusive rights.

The latest rumour doing the rounds on various blogging platforms suggest that Wenger will reignite his interest in Peruvian international winger Juan Manuel Vargas as he looks to shore up his attacking options in anticipation of ending the Gunner's trophy drought.

The 28-year-old attacking midfielder's deal with Fiorentina runs until June 2013. Former European champions Liverpool and Juventus will join Arsenal in the virtual race for the €15 million rated playmaker.
