Arsenal and Ac Milan Set To Fight Over Montolivo: Milan Offer Cash Plus El Shaarawy

Latest speculation concerning the future of Italy international and Fiorentina star Riccardo Montolivo, suggest that his current club must sell him at a cut-price next year or risk losing him on a free transfer given the player's reluctance to extend his current deal beyond next year.According to Corriere dello Sport and TuttoMercatoWeb.com, Arsenal alongside Italian champions Ac Milan are monitoring the situation of the wantaway playmaker very closely with regards to snapping the 26-year-old midfielder next year.

Milan are believed to be willing to offer cash in the region of €3 million plus their impressive and versatile youngster Stephan El Shaarawy to augment the deal.

El Shaarawy is expected to fly the colours of the Viola for six months or more depending on the terms reached during the loan agreement, if the Milan based outfit can successfully ward off British interest.

In the meantime, Arsene Wenger will be hoping to draw inspiration from the remnant of his huge financial warchest. The Arsenal tactician spent a club record fee of over £50 million on new additions during the just concluded summer transfer activities.
